Art for After Hours is getting ready to bring 3D chalk art to the Carrollton Fine Arts and Crafts MeccaFest on Saturday, October 13th and 14th, 2012 from 10:00am to 5:00pm at the Carrollton Cultural Arts Center, 251 Alabama St. The event is presented by the Carrollton Artists Guild.
International 3D chalk artist Shawn McCann from Art for After Hours, will create his latest 3D chalk art design to entertain and inspire the crowds during MeccaFest. Here is a watercolor study from Shawn of his natural themed design:
Hailing from Minnesota, Shawn (additionally a well known children's book illustrator as well as a 3D chalk artist), creates beautiful 3D chalk art in a painterly way; perhaps inspired by his work in murals which he worked with me on a project in Mumbai, India earlier in 2012.
We are very excited about seeing Shawn bring his unique creativity and artistic endeavor to Carrollton and The Business of Street Painting Art will follow up on the progress and finish of what we expect to be a wonderful, positive interaction between artist and viewers.
