Hello Everyone, especially to our friends in Greenville coming to Artisphere 2016!
Art for After Hours has been providing professional 2D and 3D street art as a chalk component for may years ranging from 2D reproductions of classically known art works to student exhibition chalk art works of Artisphere posters from years past to inspire and entertain the public during the festival in South Carolina.
This year, I am pleased to say that we will be bringing 4D emerging technologies as part of the 3D anamorphic street art along the Reedy River Walk as a first for the public to see and to interact within and around the art.
A color pencil rendering of our 3D art work piece - 'Asian Fusion' designed by Anthony Cappetto for Artisphere 2016.
This 3D piece will be drawn on the pavement along the Reedy River in the area that we always create our pieces using dry chalk at a size of approximately 10 feet wide by up to 27 feet in length by Cappetto and artist assistants from Art for After Hours during the festival weekend. In terms of the interaction, areas will be in the layout of the art to allow people to be within the art whether holding a bowl, fortune cookies or even holding the chop sticks as if they were reaching to take a bite of the cuisine itself.
2016 is the breakout year for this new technology for the general public and Art for After Hours founder, Artist Anthony Cappetto has been an advocate and Early Adopter of using AR and VR in his 3D anamorphic art since the mid 2000s with his first public 3D chalk art installation using emerging technologies in 2011.
Cappetto is an invited author on 4D street art on Infinity Leap, an AR/VR blog.
